Pada akhir Fase D, peserta didik
menggunakan bahasa Inggris untuk berinteraksi dan saling bertukar ide,
pengalaman, minat, pendapat dan pandangan dengan guru, teman sebaya dan orang
lain dalam berbagai macam konteks familiar yang formal dan informal. Dengan
pengulangan dan penggantian kosakata, peserta didik memahami ide utama dan
detil yang relevan dari diskusi atau presentasi mengenai berbagai macam topik
yang telah familiar dan dalam konteks kehidupan di sekolah dan di rumah. Mereka
terlibat dalam diskusi, misalnya memberikan pendapat, membuat perbandingan dan
menyampaikan preferensi. Mereka menjelaskan dan memperjelas jawaban mereka
menggunakan struktur kalimat dan kata kerja sederhana.

IMAGINATIVE STORIES THAT WRITER MAKE TO ENTERTAINT THE READERS.
GENERIC STRUCTURE OF NARRATIVE TEXT:

CHARANTERS IN THE STORY

COMPLICATION IS SHOWING THE CONFLICTS OR PROBLEMS

• LANGUAGE FEATURES OF
NARRATIVE TEXT (KAIDAH KEBAHASAAN)

USED
SIMPLE PAST TENSE
Ex:
• “Once upon a time, in
a small village, there lived a kind, generous old man. One day, as he was
walking through the forest, he stumbled upon a giant squash. Amazed, he inched
closer.”
• (Pada zaman dahulu kala,
di sebuah desa kecil, hiduplah seorang pria tua yang baik hati dan dermawan.
Suatu hari, ketika dia sedang berjalan menuju hutan, dia menemukan sebuah labu
raksasa. Terkejut, dia pun mendekat.)
• 2. USED ADVERB OF TIME
(KETERANGAN TERKAIT PERISTIWA BERLANGSUNG)
• Contoh adverb of
time, antara lain today, yesterday, one day, tomorrow, last year,
later, dan sebagainya. Contoh adverb of time dalam narrative
text , Ex :
• “Early one
morning, Sarah decided to go for a jog in the park. As she jogged, the sun
began to rise, casting a golden glow over the trees. Later that day,
she met her friends for lunch and shared her morning adventure with them.”
• (Pagi-pagi sekali, Sarah
memutuskan untuk jogging di taman. Saat dia jogging, matahari mulai terbit,
menyebarkan cahaya emas di atas pepohonan. Kemudian pada hari itu, dia bertemu
teman-temannya untuk makan siang dan menceritakan petualangan paginya kepada
mereka.)
• 3. USED ADJECTIVE
• Adjective adalah kata yang
digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan noun (kata benda) dan pronoun (kata
ganti), yang bisa berupa orang, tempat, hewan, benda, warna, bau, atau konsep
abstrak lainnya. Adjective bisa kita sebut juga sebagai kata sifat.
• Dalam narrative
text, adjective membantu menciptakan cerita yang lebih rinci atau
deskriptif. Dengan begitu, ini akan menstimulasi imajinasi pembaca, sehingga
mereka dapat ikut hanyut ke dalam cerita.
• Ex :
• “The brave knight
entered the dark, mysterious forest, ready to face
any challenges that lay ahead.”
• (Seorang Ksatria yang
berani memasuki hutan yang gelap dan misterius, siap menghadapi segala tantangan
yang menantinya.)
4. USED NOUN OF PHRASE
(kata-kata yang berfungsi sebagai kata benda. Bisa berupa tempat, orang,
makhluk hiduP
• Noun phrase adalah kata-kata
yang berfungsi sebagai kata benda. Bisa berupa tempat, orang, makhluk hidup, dan
lain-lain. Nah, sama halnya dengan adjective, noun phrase digunakan
untuk memberi deskripsi yang lebih rinci dari sebuah narrative text.
• Ex :
• “The bright morning
sun cast a golden glow on the calm waters of the lake,
creating a breathtaking view.”
• (Matahari pagi yang
terang melemparkan cahaya emas pada air tenang danau, menciptakan pemandangan
yang memukau.)
• ADJECTIVE
IN NARRATIVE TEXT WE WILL FOUND A LOT OF
ADJECTIVES, SPECIALLY WHEN EXPRESS THE CHARACTERS FEELINGS.

- WORRIED (KHAWATIR)

• NOT ONLY TO EXPRESS THE
CHARACTERS’ FEELINGS, ADJECTIVES CAN BE USED TO DESCRIBE THE CHARCTERS’ TRAITS
AND BEHAVIOUR, SUCH AS :
- BRAVE (PEMBERANI)
- SHY (PEMALU)
- CLEVER (PINTAR)
- FOOLISH (CEROBOH / BODOH)
- KIND (BAIK HATI)
- RUDE (KASAR)
- CRUEL ( JAHAT)

RAMAH)
EXAMPLE
The Ugly Duckling
That night, the Ugly Duckling Flew away. He
landed on the other side of the river. There he met two grown-up chickens. “Can
I please stay here?” asked the Ugly Duckling politely. “Why do we care?” said
one of the chickens. “Go away,” exclaimed the other. The Ugly Duckling walked
with his head down in shame. He was sad. The next morning, the Ugly Duckling
lew away. He landed on a farm. Suddenly, a big hungry dog came. The dog chased
the Ugly Duckling. “Woof! Woof!” The Ugly Duckling was scared.
The dog
sniffed and sniffed at him, then turned away. “I am too ugly even for the big
hungry dog to want,” said the Ugly Duckling. He felt heartbroken. The Ugly
Duckling was very tired. But, he Flew and Flew till he found another farm.
There he met a cow. “Can I please stay here?” asked the Ugly Duckling nicely.
“Why do I care?” replied the rude cow. She then yelled, “Moo! Go away!” Once
again, the Ugly Duckling walked away with his head down. He felt heartbroken.
As time passed, the Ugly Duckling grew up. He Flew and Flew till Finally he
found a clear pond. He saw some big white birds swimming in the pond. “Wow,
they are very beautiful!” he thought, “but I’m too ugly to be their friend.”
“Hi,” greeted
the Ugly Duckling. The beautiful white birds looked at him. It made the Ugly
Duckling feel nervous. Suddenly, the biggest white bird exclaimed, “Hey, look,
we have another swan here!” (Line 20) “No … No … I’m not. I’m an ugly
duckling,” said the Ugly Duckling. He shook his head. The beautiful white swans
smiled and said, “Look at yourself in the water and tell us.” The Ugly Duckling
saw a relection in the water. He was surprised. “I am a swan just like you
all!” (Line 25) “See, we are being honest with you,” said the other swans. They
then became friends and lived happily together. (Retelling of The Ugly Duckling
